Helping my Grandma Sophie run her back porch of a convenience store in the summers of Allendale, SC, are some of my most fondest memories. Her store was a pillar in the local community as she sold a variety of essentials that everyone could enjoy. And till this day, my dad still praises how good her coffee was.
